The Timber Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK) is a system operated in Indonesia to verify and ensure the origin of timber from upstream to downstream.
The Timber Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK) is a multi-stakeholder-designed tracking system to ensure the legality of wood sources circulating and being traded in Indonesia. SVLK was developed to promote the implementation of relevant government regulations concerning the legal trade and circulation of forest products in Indonesia.

SVLK Benefits
All wood products circulated and traded in Indonesia have a convincing legality status and are unquestionably legitimate. This ensures that exporters can provide certainty regarding the legality of Indonesian wood products in the global market, leading to increased competitiveness in Indonesian wood production and opening up larger market opportunities.
Legal Certification (S-Legalitas) is a certificate issued by an Independent Assessment and Verification Body (LPVI), in which the LPVI provides written assurance that the products, processes, and services conducted by businesses meet the qualifications and quality standards according to the established wood legality standards.

Forest Product Legality Verification Cost Standards

Scope
All wood from state forests or concession forests wajib undergo legality verification. This obligation ensures the origin of raw materials. Similarly, in the industry (both primary and secondary), the wood must undergo legality verification until it becomes a wood product. Wood products for export require V-Legal Documents. The V-Legal Document aims to guarantee that the wood raw materials used to make the wood product originate from legal sources. Exporters, in cooperation with the verification body issuing wood legality certification, handle the issuance of V-Legal Documents.

Tahapan & Proses
The maintenance of S-Legality is carried out through Evaluation activities conducted during the validity period of S-Legality, carried out at least every 6 (six) months or every 12 (twelve) months, or every 24 (twenty-four) months, or every 36 (thirty-six) months. The results can be in the form of continuation, suspension, or revocation of S-Legality.
Special Audit is conducted to reverify if:
- Non-compliance with legality standards identified by audits, based on complaints submitted by PI or results of monitoring conducted by government agencies following the Timber Legality Verification by LPVI;
- Fulfillment of legality standards as a follow-up to audits where certification has been suspended;
- If significant changes occur that affect the continuity of business legality compliance, including changes in scope; and/or
- If the audit receives wood originating from auction results after the issuance of S-Legality.
- At the request of the audit.
Complaint
A complaint is a written expression of dissatisfaction from individuals and/or organizations regarding the activities of the License Holder, LPVI, or KAN.
Appeal
Appeal is a written request from the License Holder, Management Rights Holder, or Forest Rights Owner to PT. Intishar Sadira Eshan for a review of the decision outcomes of the certification process, or from PT. Intishar Sadira Eshan to KAN for a review of the decision outcomes of the accreditation process.
Complaints and appeals can be submitted at any time and should be sent to PT. Intishar Sadira Eshan using the Complaint Form to the email addresses: intisharsadiraeshan@gmail.com and/or adminise@ptise.co.id, accompanied by clear identification of the complainant or appellant."
The Rights and Obligations of the Applicant
- To submit a letter of request and fill out the application form to be delivered to PT. ISE management.
- Inform if there is a change in scope, such as changes in area or capacity addition.
- Always meet certification requirements, including implementing appropriate changes when those changes have been communicated by PT. ISE.
- Inform the certification body, without delay, of any changes that may affect its ability to comply with certification requirements

- Conducting evaluations and assessments, including provisions for reviewing documentation and records and access to relevant client equipment, site locations, personnel, and subcontractors.

- Not using their product certification in a manner that tarnishes the reputation of the certification body and not making statements related to their product certification that are deemed by the certification body as misleading or unauthorized
- Allowing the presence of observers during audit activities.
- Obtaining the results of the Application and Review
- Rejecting or objecting to the Auditor appointed by the FIRST PARTY in writing, along with the reasons for the rejection, and communicating this at the beginning of the field verification and assessment
- Accepting the results of the work if they meet the requirements and terms agreed upon as stipulated in the Work Agreement (Contract).
- Submitting objections to the field verification results no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days after the issuance of the Certification Decision, in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Have the right to use the LPVI Logo on all production results and packaging that meet the LPVI assessment standards, as evidenced by the issuance of the CERTIFICATE.
The obligations and rights of the Applicant, or the Parties related to LPVI certification, are detailed in the Certification Work Agreement for each certification scheme.
Trademark
Mark SVLK It is a mark affixed to forest products, forest product derivatives, packaging, or transport documents, indicating that forest products and their derivatives have met sustainability standards, legality standards, or declaration requirements.
The Shape and Size of the V-Legal Mark
The V-Legal mark is created in the shape and design as specified in the image below, NOT ALLOWED TO BE CHANGED by any means or for any reason.

The Use of the V-Legal Mark
