The ISPO certification body accreditation process has been underway since May 2022, starting with the creation of the ISPO Scheme System Document, ensuring the certification personnel, especially auditors, and seeking prospective ISPO clients for the Witness process as a requirement for accreditation submission.

In December 2022, PT ISE obtained a prospective ISPO certification client named PT Sawitmas Parenggean, located in the Parenggean village, Parenggean District, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan province, with a scope of integrated activities encompassing both Oil Palm Plantation Cultivation and Processing of Oil Palm Plantation Products. At the end of January 2023, PT ISE conducted Stage I Audit for the Initial Certification of PT Sawitmas Parenggean (PT SMP).

The Stage I Audit is being conducted, with the auditor verifying documents and records in accordance with ISPO standards and other requirements.

The Assessment is ongoing, with KAN assessors evaluating the compliance of PT ISE's ISPO scheme management system.

At the beginning of March 2023, PT ISE initiated the accreditation scheme registration with the National Accreditation Committee (KAN). The subsequent process involves conducting a document and resource accreditation feasibility audit, followed by an assessment process to evaluate the compatibility of PT ISE's system with ISPO standard requirements and other accreditation prerequisites.

After the assessment process is deemed compliant by KAN, the witness assessment process will then be carried out on July 4-7, 2023. (witness) The implementation will be carried out on-site in the field, concurrently with the Stage II Audit for the Initial Certification of PT SMP. The assessors from KAN assigned to this witness assessment are Ms. Ratna Rahayu Utami and Mr. Prasetyo Djati.

The execution of the witness and Stage II Audit for the Initial Certification of PT SMP begins with an opening meeting, followed by document verification, field inspections (plantations), and interviews.

The field inspection activities include visits to the palm oil plantation processing factory (PKS), concluding with an audit closing meeting.

At the end of July 2023, the witness process was deemed compliant by KAN after addressing non-conformities. The subsequent process involved a Technical Accreditation Committee meeting, a review of the assessment report, and the provision of accreditation decision recommendations to the KAN Council meeting for the final accreditation decision. On August 31, 2023, the KAN Council meeting concluded that PT ISE has obtained LSISPO accreditation.
